WE HAVE NEW NEIGHBORS!
Please welcome Jerry and Katherine Phillips to Smithfield!
They have purchased the home at 12000 Avallon Place.
We are so happy to have them as a part of our community.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The work on the damaged chimney and grill at the pool has been completed well prior to the pool opening.
PLEASE remember to not mulch around the common property trees. To do so will result in the homeowner being responsible for removing the mulch.
The damaged American flag at the entrance has been replaced.

The Board met to discuss a variety of items and approved the following.
First, to protect our neighborhood from those promoting scams like the people who came into Smithfield late last year purportedly selling magazines and intimidating some homeowners, a “No Soliciting” sign has been placed at our entrance. By posting this sign, individuals will be prohibited from selling door to door in Smithfield by the Town of Farragut and Knox County Codes.
On a related note, if you feel threatened for any reason, please contact the Knox County’s Sheriff’s Department dispatch at:
865/215-2444
Secondly, the Regulations applicable to the Smithfield Covenants and Restrictions have been updated after being reviewed by the Attorney for the Association. That update has been posted on the neighborhood website.
Work on the pool house chimney and grill has been completed.
The American Flag at the neighborhood entrance will be replaced. The Flag at the pool will be replaced this Spring.
Fox Den has agreed to remove the limbs overhanging the pool area at the same time maintenance is undertaken on that golf course.
Thanks to all those who helped with the Christmas decorations. This is the Volunteer State!
REMINDER TO ALL SMITHFIELD NEIGHBORS:
The Smithfield Covenants and Restrictions outline a number of guidelines, including vehicle parking on our narrow streets.
All neighbors are reminded to comply with (Article X, p.24, #6): “Long-term and/or overnight on-street parking of household vehicles is prohibited. Vehicles that cannot be accommodated in garage space or driveway should be parked at the pool parking lot.”
Please be aware that this is particularly important at NIGHT, when emergency and/or police vehicles may need
to access our homes, as well as neighbors into their driveways.

Please inform your landscape personnel
to not mulch around the greenway trees,
due to the negative effect over-mulching can have on the tree’s health.

Founders park to be closed this summer
First Utility District is in the process of replacing sewer pipe from Turkey Creek Road to Village Green subdivision in order to increase sewer capacity for Farragut residents and businesses. The project will require several road crossings, greenway crossings and work in Founders Park at Campbell Station. Because of this project, Founders Park will close in early May and reopen in early fall. During this time, the entire park will be closed to the public.
The Farragut Branch Library and the upper parking lot will remain open throughout the project. We’re sorry for any inconvenience; we encourage park users to visit Farragut’s other four parks during the summer months.
Contact the Town of Farragut at 865-966-7057 if you have questions about the closure of Founders Park.
